Jerry Scalesse is a bodybuilding champion from Long Island, New York. After winning the Amateur Mr. Universe title, we see Jerry competing with and defeating some of the world's top professionals.
We worked with Jerry in our London studio on the day after his Mr. Universe victory, taping his pumping, posing and training. In the interview, Jerry shares his thoughts on training, nutrition, steroids, and how he became a top champion. 1982 Miss Olympia
One of the golden oldies: Rachel McLish was the winner in this the 3rd year of the contest. She was followed by Carla Dunlap, Kike Elomaa, Lynn Conkwright and many other famous names of the 80s. In the heavyweight class it was a battle of the giants between a young, ripped and superb Berry de Mey, a mature and sensational Bob Paris and a huge Ralf Moeller of Germany who ended up in third place. Ralf literally dwarfed the others during the posedown. I do not know how close it was on the judges' sheets but in my mind it was a toss up and could have gone either way between the top two.
